| Description | I am importing a set of products for a client I just created. When importing, I receive a message about tax_category_id as null, but in the window there is not tax related fields. Later, I found that if I first import taxes and create tax categories, none of this categories is marked as default and that is causing the problems. On previous Openbravo releases, you had an Standard value that prevent this error. | |||||||
| Steps To Reproduce | Note: You can follow detailed steps on the QA's Smoke Test for 2.50 at http://tools.openbravo.com:8891/testlink [^] 1. On a recently created client, import taxes 2. Import products. An error message is displayed about tax_category_id missing 3. Go Financial Management > Accounting > Setup > Tax Category 4. Note that none of created categories is marked as default 5. Choose one and mark it as default 6. Import products again. This time the products are imported. | |||||||
| Proposed Solution | The error message is not clear enough to understand the problem. It has no sense a message "tax category is null" on a window that has not a field named Tax Category. So I can not solve the issue and go on. I should realize that on Product window there are fields that are not on Import Product window. Solution is to prevent importing by warning that some required preconditions (a Tax Category marked as default) is not present. It is not an error, so it would be not a good solution to show that message as an importing error. | |||||||
