| Description | (i found it in Master Data Management - Product - Purchasign) but applies pervasively Many fields have default values that can be edited. Typical user behaviour for users filling out large forms is moving the focus forward from field to field using the TAB key or using a mouse click in the field. In both situations, it is convenient to have the current value selected on click or TAB so that the new value can be entered right away, overwriting the current value. Currently the behaviour is as follows: Focus moves to field: -- In case the current value is 0, then the cursor is inserted in front of the 0. Typing a 5 for example, results in 50 -- In case the current value is <>0, the cursor is inserted after the number -- In some cases the value is selected (desired behaviour) A related issue is that some fields have default values, such as 0, and some do not. Does the latter mean the value is 0? | |||||||
| Proposed Solution | Select current value on focus. Remove all default 0 values that do not make sense or have zeros everywhere. | |||||||
