Description | Ticket layout problem: When we apply a discount on a receipt, if the description is too long, the text is cropped. | |||||||
Steps To Reproduce | Go to the backend Go to “discounts and Promotions”, Select an existing promotion Price adjustement (eg: Camping Pack) Change the value of the field to get the following Printed Name and put: With this long text, we want to test the length available Save Make sure your Hardware manager is open. Go to the webpos, Create a ticket with the promotion without invoice: - Search: - Add to to the receipt the article “Minilintern solar dynamo” - Click on the amount, Unflag invoice if it´s necessary - Pay it Look at the ticket created in the Hardware manager: The description is cropped. | |||||||

The printed ticket structure is something very particular of each commerce. The one currently implemented in the WebPOS (cropped lines) is probably the most common worldwide solution (I would crop the line even more to avoid it be under any price). It would be nice that this point and, probably, other ones (for example, show or not "unit price" column) would be parameterizable, but this would be a project itself. Probably the easiest solution if a particular customer is asking this is to prepare a custom ticket template. |

The logic to print discount descriptions to use 1, 2 or several lines depending on the size must be created in the template. |
