0002267: Initial Client Setup

DescriptionHello
I am have beginned to work with openbravo a few weeks ago with release 2.34, there I had no problems with the creation of new clients, but in 2.35 i still have it..
My configuration
Debian Linux
tomcat5.5
ant 1.6.5
postgressql8.1 or oracle 10.2

The installation works fine, also the integration of additional languages, I will use german and italian for my business.

but then i have problems with creation of new client, I open Initial Client Setup and do the following setup
Client:test
Organization:testorg
Currency:Euro
Client Username: testadmin
Organization Username: testuser
Country:Italy
City: my city
business partner: ok
Product: ok
Project: ok
Accounting File: The IT File from rel. 2.34
OK

Result:
Error:Error
java.lang.StringIndexOutOfBoundsException: String index out of range: -1

The same error with postgresql and oracle

Please help me, i think openbravo is great and i will use this productiv, but i have to solve this issue...
thank you, walter

Hi,
It happened also to me, because of COA file. It had errors (there was a duplicate account key). I fixed the error and then Initial Client Setup worked fine.

Hi, thank you for the answer
I have tried now to modify the accounting file, but i have not found
duplicate keys, where do you have found them??

I have tried also to create the client with a empty csv-file, but nothing,
still the same error....

Any suggestions??

thanx, walter

The reason for this issue is a problem with the IT chart of accounts files (it is incomplete and not working in 2.34 either but since 2.35 has increased the amount of checks it performs, it now fails).

For 2.35, please use one of the chart of accounts that have been tested and certified with that release.

If you need an Italian specific chart of account, please be aware that there is an Italian localization project working on it and that will publish it soon (see details at:
http://wiki.openbravo.com/wiki/index.php/Localization_Projects#Italy [^] - feel free to contact the project leader for status updates).

If you need to develop your own chart of account, you can find instructions here:
http://wiki.openbravo.com/wiki/index.php/Creating_Accounts_Files [^]

If you need help creating a coa, please post your questions on the forums.
