Summary | 0019636: MRP: Capacity in the Purchasing tab of Product is not taken into account for the creation of the purchasing plan
Description | In the Purchasing plan of a product the capacity of the vendor is defined. This means that when the purchasing plan is calculated this capacity should be taken into account and offset with the days that the purchase order should be placed. However, this is not happening.
Steps To Reproduce | See screenshots. Enter a product that is purchased. Enter the Purchasing tab with the following information: Purchasing leadtime = 10, Capacity = 1000. Now you enter a sales forecast for that product for that vendor for 5000 with a future date. What should happen is that in the Purchasing Plan there are 5 lines for 1000 each for the dates (forecast due date - 10 days) for the first 1000, (forecast due date - 11 days) for the second 1000, (forecast due date - 12 days) for the third 1000 etc. I checked with Aurora and she said the Purchase order may have 5 lines, but that was also not the case.
Proposed Solution | To make sure capacity is taken into account for the creation of the Purchasing plan and that 5 separate lines appear in this example.

The capacity is not used to create new purchase plan lines. What it does is to bring forward the planned order date a amount of days equal to Ordered Quantity/Capacity. |
