0011689: Error in Trial Balance Report

DescriptionFirst of all, I check account 17000 in General Ledger Reports
Time filter from 01-12-2003 to 31-12-2009
I saw that system have already some transactions in Jan, Feb, March, …. of 2006
Then, I checked again with trial balance report. Date filter from 01-03-2006 to 31-12-2009
I thought that it must exist one Initial balance value. But, the report, this account obtains 0 at Initial Balance. Please check again this report on the demo database

 I´m have same problem , my version are 2.50 MP8.
I´m input data from january to october, making a g/l journal with inital balance in january 1, when i get report using from date equal a january 1 , run ok , but with any other period initial balance is zero. Attached Images demonstrating problem.

 Hi all,

There is an on going project to enhance accounting reports so any feedback we could get from you will be take into account for new report layout.
Once we have a project registered in the wiki for this report i will add a note so that any of you can give his/her insight.

 Hi all,

We had a look at the issue. It seems initial balance is just taking into account opening entries. Thats the reason why when you filter from march to June (as an example) you do not get any info in initial balance. We will take this into account for future version of the report we are about to launch. Again any additional feedback is really welcome as we are trying to redesign it.

 Hi Eduardo, I think this a functional bug not a enhancement. For end user it´s not time to wait future revised version, because he have an audit and don´t demonstrate correct report. This issue continue like a defect ??

 Hi Carbonete,

I completely agree.

I think my statement has been misunderstood. I meant that we would take this bug into account in the new report. This new report will be an enhanced trial balance.
