| Description | When installing a module, at first the system prompts the user with a heartbeat popup. Cancel won't close the window. Also the question in the dialogue is silly. Continue to what? To heartbeat or to install modules? | |||||||
| Proposed Solution | Buttons should be "Yes, enable heartbeat" and "No thanks, continue module installation". The last one should close the popup. | |||||||

Note: No thanks will stop the module installation. As decision is that enabling heartbeat is a must requirement to continue. However imho the current text is not clear with respect to that. Afaik there is an issue logged by plujan about improving the text. |

I've just tested in live.openbravo.com and it works fine: -cancel closes the window -the question is Do you want to enable the Heartbeat and continue? So Continue is enable heartbeat and continue installing the module. Cancel is do not enable heartbeat and cancel installation Also, please follow the following guidelines when reporting issues: http://wiki.openbravo.com/wiki/Bug_Reporting_Guidelines [^] In particular: -provide your environment (what browser are you using?) -do not combine two issues in one, report two issues Ismael |

If we chose to force it (by default), then we need to redesign the flow and content. Right now it shows the same dialog as when you just installed Openbravo ERP: "Thank you for downloading and supporting our open source ERP." Message with "You are about to install module X. Explanation about Heartbeat Checkbox "Enable Heartbeat" checked by default (and can be unchecked by user) Continue button Cancel button |

I partially agree with last comment made by Rob, there should be a different message in the heartbeat pop-up window depending on how the user reaches the page. But I don't see the need of adding the checkbox "Enable heartbeat", instead of that the explanation should clearly state: "In order to install a module Openbravo requires you to enable the Heartbeat. Heartbeat is a key mechanism for Openbravo to know how the product is used. This information is used to provide you better quality. Do you want enable Heartbeat and CONTINUE the installation or do you want to CANCEL the installation?" Ismael |
