| Summary | 0006757: New feature required - applicable for all versions. | |||||||||||
| Description | There is an option for Goods Movement under Warehouse Management. We have observed that client needs a facility to move all items under a BOM structure in one go. So If a product1 requires 2 of item1 and 3 of item2 (defined as BOM structure), they need a facility to add a movement for all children of product1 which in turn creates movement entries for item1(2 qty) and item2(3 qty). | |||||||||||
| Proposed Solution | When we have BOM Production option, it automatically creates line items for all children/parts of a product. On similar lines we can have option under goods movement to add all children/parts for a product automatically. Once the parts are added, user will process the movements. | |||||||||||

Are you submitting a request for a core contribution (meaning that you would like to develop this functionality and donate it to Openbravo) or did you mean this as a feature request to be added to the product road map? If you meant it as a core contribution, we would be very pleased to receive your help and I would ask you to follow the process documented at: http://wiki.openbravo.com/wiki/Contributor%27s_Guide#Contributing_new_features [^] I would also like you to be aware that starting with 2.50, you can develop this type of functionality as an extension module, which allows you to develop and share new features with the rest of the community without the need to coordinate with us. On the other hand, if you meant this as a feature request to be added to the product road map, I will move it to the Openbravo ERP project. At this moment we are developing this as a new module. So we will add this as core contribution once we are done. We will follow the procedure recommended. Thanks. |
