| Summary | 0025227: API Check: PL function with optional parameter | ||||||||||
| Description | If you add a new optional parameter to a PL/SQL function, the api-check test will detect it as an API change because the number of parameters have changed. However it usually doesn't represent a real API change, because the function can be called with the previous number of parameters | ||||||||||
| Steps To Reproduce | Take any pl/sql function, like the c_gettax and add a new optional parameter (for example, default value = NULL). Run the api-check test | ||||||||||
| Proposed Solution | Show a warning instead of an error. The warning will represent that the function logic should work as before the optional parameter addition. | ||||||||||
