Summary

0000503: Reference data management

DescriptionThis is an umbrella feature request to group all enhancements related to the management of reference data.

Reference data is content that is used within the Openbravo application such as tax codes, regions, etc.
Currently Openbravo ships some reference data but once it is delivered in the customer instance it is no longer possible to maintain it (for example, the tax rates associated to a tax code cannot be updated). This is because the product assumes that customers might change the out of the box values and that those changes should be honored.
The goal of this project is to provide a mechanism for Openbravo and other third parties to deliver and maintain reference data in a robust manner while giving the option to users to accept or reject subsequent updates that might be in conflict with their changes.
