| Description | Filter columns is not working in query/list widgets if the @optional_filters@ clause is not present. This can lead the user to think that the filters for widgets are not working properly, because the "Can be filtered" checkbox are already marked. | |||||||
| Steps To Reproduce | As system admin: 1) Create a Query/List widget of HQL type, using the following clause in the [Query tab]: select p.searchKey as value, p.name as nombre from Product p 2) Create two registers in the [Column] tab for both columns: value and name. Use the string reference and mark the "Can be filtered" checkbox for both. 3) In the Where Clause Left Part put p.searchKey and p.name respectively As group admin 4) Go to the [Role] window and in the [Widget Access Tab] give permissions to the group admin role for the new widget 5) Add the widget to the workspace. Notice that the filters are not working. | |||||||
| Proposed Solution | The @optional_filters@ clause must be used in order to make the filters work. It would be nice to warn the user if the "Can be filtered" checkbox is marked for a widget column and the @optional_filters@ is not present in the query. | |||||||
