Description | Defining operator classes [1] in indexes allows to use them in queries involving pattern matching expressions (for instances, select name from c_bpartner where UPPER(name) ilike 'Ali%';) This is needed in Postgresql, but it is already working in Oracle [1] http://www.postgresql.org/docs/9.3/static/indexes-opclass.html [^] |
