Summary 0043223: [20Q1] [UX] Incorrect error message shown when receiving a PO with "PA Default Product Storage Bin" Warehouse Algorithm
Revision 2020-02-18 10:41 by inaki_garcia
Steps To Reproduce PRECONDITION: the "Advanced Warehouse Operations Pack" module pack, and optionally, the "Advanced Warehouse Operations Sampledata" modules must be installed.

Set up an OB instance locally, and manually configure the "US West Coast" Warehouse under the "F&B US West Coast" Organization, to enable it for the use of AWO and by
making the least required configurations (Internal Routing Areas, Storage Bin Group, Storage Bin, Routing, Routing Assignment, Warehouse Algorithm Assignment) for its
Warehouse Definition. To do so, follow the link to this guide: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1vSezZWgU2XUHeIsV-KDm7k-yBBqy0U_Mw_7S5KWwZ3A/edit?usp=sharing [^]
This guide is located in the folder with additional AWO training resources: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1wYS_OcSfL4ymBmw-lXarhPaP4VBwHfRI?usp=sharing [^]

Once this is done, execute the following steps:

0. Log in as user "Openbravo" with "F&B International Admin Group" Role
1. Select the "US West Coast" Organization in the Warehouse Definition window, and navigate to the Warehouse Algorithm Assignment subtab
2. Open the "Receipt Purchase Order" record in form view, and select "PA Default Product Storage Bin" in the Warehouse Algorithm field and save it
3. Create a new Purchase Order for "F&B US West Coast" Organization and "US West Coast" Warehouse with one line for any product, and Book it
4. Click on the Receive process action button followed by done
NOTICE that an error status bar appears with the "Index 0 out-of-bounds for length 0" message; check the attached screenshot that depicts this.
Revision 2020-02-18 10:41 by inaki_garcia
Description Receiving a Purchase Order whose Routing Assignment has a "PA Default Product Storage Bin" Warehouse Algorithm set, throws a non-readable error when no default storage bin
is defined for the Product added to its lines. The error message says "Index 0 out-of-bounds", instead of a more appropriate error message. Such message could say "No
default storage bin was defined for the product added" and possibly highlight the Warehouse Algorithm in use as a suggestion to resolve the issue.
