| Description | On the product selector, the characteristics filter displays all the characteristics defined. It would be nice if there would be possible, for example by setting a preference, to display only the characteristics available for the product selected. This would make the search easier for the user when there exists a lot of characteristics defined in the system. The expected behavior would be the same as the current one with foreign key filters: they are adapted dynamically to show the current values displayed in the grid. For example, in the [Product] window not every unit of measure created in the system are displayed in the filter drop-down, just the unit of measure of the products being currently displayed in the grid. |

| Steps To Reproduce | In the [Product Characteristic] window 1) Create two variant characteristics: a) Color: with two values, for example red and green b) Taste: with two values, for example sweet and bitter In the [Product Characteristic] window 2) Create a new generic product, with name T-Shirt 3) In the [Characteristics] tab create a new record and assign the Color characteristic 4) Generate the product variants 5) Click on the product characteristic filter. Notice that both Color and Taste are displayed. Only Color should be displayed for two reasons: 5a) This way the filter will behave like the UOM filter 5b) If we filter by name: T-Shirt, it does not make sense to show the characteristic Taste. |
