Summary | 0055955: [24Q3] User Icons on login - At least one successful login is required for the list to be shown
Description | The first time a terminal is loading, the login page does not show the list of users even with the preference active. Once a successful login was done, the list is being shown. This also happens after a cache clean. The issue is that first timers may think the feature is not working properly.
Steps To Reproduce | 1. In the backoffice, set the preference of showing images as N 2. Using a browser that never accessed the POS before, go to the login page. As expected, images are not shown. 3. Login with a valid user and logout 4. Check that now the images are shown. 5. Clean the browser's cache and check the images are not shown.

It is working as designed and documented: In order to display the User Images, Terminal Authentication must be activated. Once we authenticate and link the terminal with our device, we would be able to see the new component. If you don’t have Terminal Authentication activated, once you complete a successful login, user images will be displayed. [1] Note if terminal authentication is enabled, images will appear if the terminal is linked regardless of previous logins. This restriction is set due to security concerns: we don't want to expose users information in the internet without login unless we know it is a linked terminal or at least one valid login was done. ---- [1] https://docs.google.com/document/d/161iJ-xZKI7LGzK8HRH52tRTFilwFiPSUMmrEIN5c8Y8/edit#heading=h.mydvcaze8e0g [^] |
