Summary

0049366: Java heap space error returned while loading the process monitor tab

DescriptionWhile loading the process monitor tab for any process scheduled with huge records and each record having huge logs then it shows a Java heap space error in the tab.
Steps To Reproduce1) Set the attached data as log in a record of AD_PROCESS_RUN table through database

2) Try to open it in grid mode the application
3) Check the Java Heap Space error is shown if the Process Log column is shown
4) Remove the column from the grid
5) Open it in form view
6) Check the Process Log is shown empty

Hello,

We need more info to be able to reproduce the issue. Do you have the memory dump that was generated when the java heap space error took place? Please let us know how / where we can reproduce this issue

SLA removed because we are not able to reproduce the issue.

The issue has happened again.
New memory dump available.

Confirmed that it was using the process request window as the error received was on the grid: java heap space

This issue has been categorized as a design defect and the SLA has been removed. The 375Mb log content that caused the problem was caused by an error in the custom process that will be fixed by CSU.

We will keep this design defect open to think about ways of protecting the server against these kind of faulty logs.
