Let me paste a few lines of relevant IRC chat: <huehner> katratxo: with thew new blob image you can directly upload a file into a field in a wad-window <huehner> katratxo: we did not convert the old users like product... but new places like application images use it <huehner> mlaci: example for the new image blob selector are the image fields in 'Client' -> 'Information' as Openbravo admin, or as system administrator the images in the 'System Information' window And here's a suggested solution from Stefan which is a very good idea I believe: <huehner> mlaci: its not so easy, which is why i was not done directly <huehner> mlaci: problen is that the old-style images are files in the servers filesystem in web/images, and the new style images are saved directly inside the database <huehner> mlaci: as we can't know if some other place used the files in web/images they cannot be just 'moved' into the database <huehner> mlaci: but you could still open a feature request to restart the discussion for this... options would be to use the new style images for new installation (if possible), but keep the other ones for older installations |
