0003956: General Ledger Report By Parent Level

DescriptionGenerate Ledger cannot be run at the Parent level for a Chart of Accounts.
Steps To ReproduceCreate a entry for Account or a Subaccount and post. Now run the General Ledger report for its associated Parent or Breakdown. System will run no rows

 Hi,
Could you explain a little bit the work around and the environment you are using?.
General ledger report shows the movements of each subaccount between two dates. We strongly recommend to use always subaccounts as defaults for any master data so that everything is accounted in subaccount level. This way we can run several reports in other levels and have consistent results. This reports are: trial balance, balance sheet and income statement.

 Hi,

Please, Could you tell us which chart of accounts you are using??
Run General ledger report in a different level than subaccount is no possible now a days. This could be a feature request for future releases.

 I am using an Indian Chart of accounts. It is available in your subversion folder

 Hi Ranga,

now a days general ledger report can not be shown in different levels. If you need this development just enter it as a feature request and we will try to include it in our roapmap.
