Summary

0027890: Impossible to update the stock generated by Web POS

DescriptionImpossible to update the stock generated by Web POS

If you have a product with attribute set and the "require at least one value" is checked, if you do not have inventory for a product, that product can be sell by webpos.

This will make the inventory go to negative, without assigning a value to that inventory transaction.

After that if you want to fix the stock using a physical inventory, you will see that it is impossible to upgrade that stock line because you will receive message that you can not create a line for that product without attribute. It is mandatory in the ERP
Steps To Reproduce-configure a product with an attribute set an check "require at least one value" checked
-add to the price list an assortment
-do the sale using Web POS
-verify that it will create a negative stock line

Try to create a physical inventory to modify that line. You will see that it is not possible.

Since Attributes are not supported in POS, makes sense to avoid sell products with attributes? I mean, set an event handler in Assortments window to avoid adding products configured with attributes, and event handler to avoid configure a product with attributes if it is inside an assortment.

let me know if this approach is valid to you.

After some more discussion, this would specific customers with customization block. Therefore the idea of the event handler is not implemented.

At the moment the only thing we can say is that WebPOS does not work with products with mandatory attributes. So customers who want to use product attributes need to make them non-mandatory.

We will add documentation for this. Any support for product attributes would be a feature request.
