| Description | Some windows have a large number of process buttons that take up a lot of space, sometimes even causing horizontal scrolling on small screens,. Apart from the scrolling issue, also for readability reasons it is recommended to shorten some long labels. Also, adding tooltips describing the process in more detail is good. | |||||||
| Proposed Solution | Shorten labels. Rules: - starts with a verb - if necessary mention the affected object - in case of ambiguity (applied to header or line?) mention whether it is applied to the header or the line - leave out the rest. A "statement" is understood as well as a "bank statement" i believe | |||||||

As we discussed in the e-mail thread the most heavy Tab is Reconciliation in Financial Account (see screenshot, but Post buttons is missing in it). There are 2 very long buttons in it: Print Reconciliation Detail Report and Print Reconciliation Summary Report, I would propose to shorten them with Reconciliation Details and Reconciliation Summary buttons but then it does not start with the Verb (as you Rob pointed). Any other suggestions? |
