Summary | 0009752: Impossible to make customizations by selecting System Info -. 'Customizations Allowed'
Description | I need to customize some Openbravo windows. If I follow Paolo's blog http://paolojuvara.blogspot.com/search/label/modularity [^] I should be able to: (1) Navigate General Setup -> Applications -> System Info (2) Invoke the System Info Tab (3) Select the 'Customizations Allowed' checkbox. (4) Continue to make customizations that are added to a config script in a new module. This is not what happens: With a new MP1 install and with role system admin. The 'System Info' tab of the Systems Info window is 'read only' by default, so it is not possible to select the 'Customizations Allowed' field. Also I am prevented from reconfiguring the System Info window and tab in the AD because that would imply a change to the core module and the core is not 'In Development.' So unless I make the change to ad_system_info.customization_allowed directly I can not proceed.
Steps To Reproduce | As System Admin Role with a MP1 appliance install. (1) Navigate General Setup -> Applications -> System Info (2) Invoke the System Info Tab (3) Select the 'Customizations Allowed' checkbox. You will not be able to because it is read only
Proposed Solution | (1) The 'Customizations Allowed' checkbox should allows updates. I think the problem is that the system info tab is read only and that overrides the field. (2) When that is fixed I would like for someone to run through the whole customization process to ensure it works. (a) Change the sequence of a field in a core module window (b) Recompile that window ant compile.development -Dtab=Window (c) check that the changes appear in the recompiled application.
