| Description | You can create standard tasks that are longer than the standard phase they belong to. I can't think of a reason why this would be useful. | |||||||||||
| Steps To Reproduce | Project and Service Management > Setup > Project Type Select Standard phase - set standard duration to e.g 3 days. Save Select Standard task - set standard task to longer than the phase duration, e.g. 7 days. Save | |||||||||||
| Proposed Solution | If the ability to make tasks longer than phases is still required, perhaps add a checkbox to automatically calculate phase length based on task length? If it's not a valid scenario to have tasks that are longer than phases, the phase should recalculate when the task length changes, perhaps with a warning message to notify the user what has happened. Or, as a minimum, display a warning when a task is longer than its phase. | |||||||||||
