Summary | 0007433: Period Control filters for Periods is a combo that shows many repeated values |
Description | I create a couple of periods for an Organization. After that, I want to check period's status. By opening the filter on Enterprise > Organization > Organization > Period Control, I see several entries for each single period |
Steps To Reproduce | 1. Create two periods, 2008 and 2009
2. Go General Setup > Enterprise > Organization > Organization > Period Control
3. Open the filter and choose 2009 as Year.
4. A list of periods is displayed (see attach) but only one will work. |

The actual steps to reproduce this bug are:
1- Create two calendars with the same year inside (example Cal1 and Cal2 with the year 2009)
2- Create two new legal entities with accounting and assign these two calendars (one per Organization)
3- Run the set as ready procedure for both organizations
4- Go the Period Control tab and click into the search button. The Period combobox will have the same periods twice.

|
The Period column is defined as a Tabledir, so in some cases (like the one described into my previous note), we will see the repeated periods.
The way to fix this bug is not to define the Period field as a filter. Instead of it we will define the Starting Date as a filter. So the user will also be able to filter by periods (introducing the dates) |
