Summary0006363: Different field order in grid and edit view
DescriptionYou should be able to define a different field order for the grid and edit view of a window.

Currently you can specify whether a field appears or not in the grid but the order is going to be the same as the edit window.

It is not actually working. Seams like it ignores the field. We have two fields, in windows tabs and fields, window.
Sequence
    The Sequence indicates the order of records
    
Record Sort No.
    The Record Sort No indicates the ascending sort sequence of the records

I think Sequence is for the window, and I thing Record Sort No should be for the grid.

But if the grid is managed by tables and columns then the sequence field when you press the filter column option button is for the filter form and again not for the grid. So again I conclude that must be Record Sort No. the field to sort the grid, but it doesnt do anything propertly. I think it should sort the grid by this field.

Hi,

I have this problem, when I try to make a window, usually I want to set the search key the first field, the name the second one, the description the third one and so on, so the user inserts them in order and in all the windows are the same order in the edition view.

But sometimes I need to show something before this data in the grid(as a first column for instance). Imagine that in the supposed window i have the quantity of something, and I want to show it in the first column of the grid(because there are too many fields and this data is really important to the user in that grid), but I want it to be show in the edition view in the last row(because the user usually inserts it the last field, and to show always the same order in this view).

The question or request is, shouldn't be a field to select the order in the grid as there is a field to select the order in the edition view and in the filter view?. And if this field is Record Sort No. I think it is not working in my openbravo 2.40 installation.

I hope i've explained myself better now :)

Would be great if you can reorder the grid without the necesity of reorder the window. For instance in product, maybe I want to show the URL at the end of the grid, but i want to be able to select the URL the second thing on the Product edition.

This issue is related to 4142 and 4143 and this need might be addressed by solving those but it is a different requirement by itself.
