0053421: The price of the Gift Card is changed to the amount of the Initial balance when selling it
If create a Gift Card without Initial balance but with defined price, add this Gift Card to the Order and specify the Gift Card Initial balance when selling it, the price of this Gift Card will change to the amount of the Initial balance.

Go to Backoffice (User:Openbravo/Password:openbravo)-> Product window
Create a new Product, specify the values:
-Organization: Vall Blanca Store
-Search Key: GC/1
-Name: Gift Card
-UOM: Unit
-Tax Category: Exento
-Product Category: Backpacks & Travel
-Purchase: ✔
-Sale: ✔
-Stocked: unselected
-Product Type: Item
-Active: ✔
-Returnable: ✔
-Grouped Product: unselected
-Gift card Type: Gift Card
-Show Characteristics Description: ✔
-Gift card initial amount: blank
-Gift card as payment method: unselected
-Expires After (days): Today + 5 days
-Allow Anonymous Sale: ✔
    
Navigate to the 'Price' tab
Add new record in the form with the following values:
-Price List Version: The White Valley Group Sale Price List Version
-Unit Price: 30.00
-List Price: 30.00

Go to the 'Assortment' window
Open the 'White Valley Group Product List'-> Go to the 'Product' tab
Add new record in the form with the following values:
-Active: ✔
-Product: Gift Card
-Product Category: Backpacks & Travel
-Bestseller: No
1.Go to POS2 (user: vallblanca/password: openbravo)
2.Specify the 'Gift Card' product to the Search line
3.Click on it
4.Pay attention to the Order Line Total (30.00)
5.Specify Identifier* = 1, Initial balance = 50.00
6.Click the top right 'Finish' button
7.Pay attention to the Order Line Total (50.00)

Actual result: The price of the Gift Card is changed to the amount of the Initial balance (50.00)

Expected result: The price of the Gift Card remains 30.00

This is actually the intended behavior. When a gift card is sold, it should have the same balance as the price for which it is being sold. This is the way the functionality was designed to work, and it is why the price is being automatically adjusted if the balance is changed.

If some customer is requesting for this behavior to be changed, then it should be discussed with Product Management, and then most probably some kind of configuration should be added to the product.

Despite the existing behavior, there is a document https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Q4823vl3Dvj0IXkDuBRvxMJsHo59WRw7Z_jwH6JMUV0/edit [^] clearly stating that the price of a Gift Card should be lower than it's initial balance.
