0039090: Use dal connection object and other solutions to make hibernate usage backward and forward compat

Description

Hibernate got upgraded to version 5 recently. This caused a change in the api and updates to the symmetric ds module [1] and retail sync module [2].

Our main customer using multi-server does not use Hibernate 5. So we need to try to adapt the hibernate api usage to be backward and forward compatible to prevent unexpected compile and other errors when updating the customer's code.
