Summary | 0003490: Debit and Credit aritmetic operations |
Description | Someone told me that yo can enter an aritmetic operation in debit/credit amount when you are creating a new g/l journal in navision. That's a good idea, for example yo could enter 1225*14 instead of doing that operation in a calculator out of OB and then enter the result in credit/debit textbox.

This could be generalized to any numeric field that currently has a calculator. |

Although the issue is solved for keyboards using a separate numerical keyboard, laptop users (without numerical keypad) canĀ“t use the *, +, -. / operators, as they "sit" below SHIFT+key combinations, for example, on my keyboard, to get a *, i need to type SHIFT-+ key which is not picked up by the system.
David, can you allow arithmetic operators as input for numerical fields using a laptop keyboard? |

Usually you have also to activate "Bloq Num" capabilities in the laptop to have access the *, +, -. / operators. Typically to activate it, and to operate later the operators/numbers, the "Fn" key is used. |

This feature is available since OB3. The way of doing maths in inputs is by doing things like =2+2 |
