Summary | 0003386: Dojo validation does not work for invalid dates |
Description | Description:
In the whole application, every date selector has a problem with no valid dates. You can enter all combination of "valid" values: 1 to 31 for dates, 1 to 12 for months and 1 to 9999 for years.
This has no sense since a "01-01-0001" is accepted as well as "31-12-9999". But there are also accepted "31-02-2007" and "31-10-2007" and so on.
Additional data:
Altough it is possible to manually input such dates, there are well interpreted by the calendar control which year dates are limited to 1971 and 2070. |

The objetive of the dojo date format is to verify that the field introduced has the correct spell (MM-DD-YYYY, YYYY:MM:DD or whatever). Check the coherence of the date should be a feature request because require a severe javascript logic |

It needs to be reviewed in a more wider way in order to admit validations for different calendars.
Now we admit the Gregorian calendar, but all the validations available are not implemented in order to admit other calendars (Hebrew, Chinese, Persian, etc.).
A project to localize the calendar should be necessary. |
