0023813: In Firefox, user can not select the text when the field is read only
In Firefox, user can not select the text when the field is read only. In chrome and IE works fine
- Using Chrome or IE, access to Business partner window
- Try to select the text in organization field
- Using Firefox, access to Business partner window
- Try to select the text in organization field, notice that the behavior is different (notice that in grid view the text can be selected)

Changed to design defect as it is because of a smartclient bug. We have posted in the forum[1] for any possible workaround.

This is due Smartclient sets this field as <input ... disabled ... > and this kind of fields can not be selected/highlighted using Firefox.

You can try at:

There is no workaround since it is a Smartclient core functionality (a disabled Smartclient input is translated into a disabled HTML input) that is in conflict with a Firefox core behavior.

Maybe this issue can not ever be solved.
