0023797: RMP22 : Gift Card or Gift Voucher do not appear as a payment method in the Cash Up summary
When doing a Cash Up, and having payed some tickets with Gift Cards or Gift Vouchers, they do not appear as a tender.
* Create a ticket
* Pay it with a Gift Card or a Gift Voucher
* Go to Cash Up
* Go to the "Count Cash" screen
* Gift Card or Gift Voucher do not appear
This is something to discuss, but since these are in fact payment methods (or tender types), I think they should appear in the Cash Up "Count Cash" screen.

The confusion can come because they appear really as "discounts" in the ticket, and treated as other discounts (discounts do not appear obviously in the "Count Cash" screen)

There are two different topics which are relevant for this issue.

On one side, Gift Cards are actually not payment methods from the backend point of view. Even if they are shown as payment methods in the main POS window, the final result of using a gift card is that a new discount will be generated for this order, so the total amount of the order will be decreased, but no additional payment will be done.

This means that there is no financial account associated to any payment, and therefore no reconciliation needs to happen in the backend.

On the other hand, our gift cards are unique in the sense that you need to enter their code in the POS if you want to use them, and this code is unique. This means that in general when you are entering an order with a gift card in the POS, chances are that you are using a real gift card, so the likelihood that you will need to review the used gift cards afterwards is not big.

For these two reasons, we are not showing gift cards as payment methods in the cash up.
