0021924: Balance sheet does not work when dates are expressed in MM-DD-YYYY
This is a regression.

Customer upgraded production environment from MP12.1 to MP15.1. After upgrade, the Balance Sheet & P&L report does not work anymore.

The customer is located in the USA and has the system configured with date format MM-DD-YYYY.

When you submit the report with date for example 09-30-2012 (balance sheet as of 30-SEP-2012), all the figures in the balance sheet come out to zero.

The data is correct. If you run the report without specifying a date, it works (it correctly shows figures as of the end of the year) but if you specify a date it does not.

This was working in MP12.1 and it no longer works in MP15.1, so it is a regression.
Set date format to MM-DD-YYYY.
Submit the balance sheet as of a particular date.

The issue appears to be more complex than what originally reported.

If you run the Balance Sheet report as of 09-29-2012 (29 SEP 2012), it works fine (or at least it shows something); if you run it on 09-30-2012, it is empty.

The records in FACT_ACCT do not justify this behavior, so this is a reporting issue, not a data issue.

To validate what is going on, I run the Trial Balance in production. You can see in attachment two outputs, one from 01-SEP-2012 to 29-SEP-2012 (this is correct) and one from 01-SEP-2012 to 30-SEP-2012 (which does not return any data).

It is clear that for some reason the system interprets 30-SEP-2012 incorrectly when it is specified as 09-30-2012.

See screenshot attached.
