| Summary | 0020603: Module Language display logic |
| Description | The module language field (Module window) is only displayed when the Translation Required flag is set. The information provided into the module language field is later on used as part of the module's identifier. For example is shown inside the Module Management Console.
The translation required flag represents whether the module contains strings to be translated, like elements or messages. However, sometimes a module just contain a dataset with Masterdata written into a language different from en_US that doesn't need to be translated (or most of the times it can't be translated).
For this kind of modules, there is no way to indicate that the module's language is not en_US. The only workaround is to set the translation required=Y, then change the Module Language, and finally set the translation required=N |
