Summary | 0019761: GL Journal header does not take into account the accounting dimensions selected for a given accounting schema |
Description | GL Journal header does not take into account the accounting dimensions selected for a given accounting schema but the lines. See screen attached. |
Steps To Reproduce | Navigate to Accounting Schema window, select the F&B US Inc/Dollar accounting schema. In the "account schema element" tab, select few accounting dimensions more, for instance:
Sales Region
Campaing
Activity
Create a New GL Journal for F&B US and for the Accounting Schema F&B US Inc/Dollar
Realize that only "Project" accounting dimension is shown in the header, however the lines tab shows all the dimensions selected. |

Are you sure we should display them into the header?
I mean, imagine we select business partner "A" in the header and business partner "B" in the line. Is this scenario right? |

if it is possible to enter accounting dimensions in the header, the ones entered there should automatically be inherited by the lines, regardless could be changed in the lines, and at the end the ones entered in the lines should be the final ones.
Anyway, if we say that the accounting dimensions must be entered at line level because those can be different, there should not be any in the Header, so Project one should be removed, otherwise it is confusing.
Please double check with David A. and Eduardo A.
Thanks
Patricia.
