Steps To ReproduceOpen Alert Management window.
Check that Alert Management is shown in "Workspace" tab.
Go back to Aler Management window.
Select one record in New section, and click on the corresponding Record, by example a purchase invoice.
The corresponding Purchase Invoice will be open.
Check that Purchase Invoice is NOT shown in "Workspace" tab
Proposed SolutionAny window opened through Alert Management window should be also listed in the "Workspace" tab.

RGO: In addition to Patricia´s proposed solution, I propose to show Recent Documents for all records that were VIEWED in form view.

Can you please comment on this issue? Visiting a record should be logged in a "Recent Documents" section, even if you didn't modify it?

As it is implemented now, you should at least see a Recent Views entry in the workspace after having visited a record from the alert management window.

Currently we also only show an entry in the Recent Documents for documents that were edited in form view.

This said, i believe it is better to show a visited record (visited in the sense of VIEWED in form view) in the Recent Documents. The user has opened a record for a good reason and even without editing, would be happy to know she did. Compare this to recent history in a web browser. It would also be more consistent with the Recent Views (which also refer to visited views only).

Fixes issue 0016677: Windows such as Purchase/Sales Invoice opened from the Alert Management window - Record are not shown in the Workspace
Now when a record is edited in form view is also registered in the Recent Documents list

* Testing the issue

Kindly follow the steps to test and verify that the purchase invoice is now added to the Recent Documents list after opened from the Alerts window.

Verify also than when entering in form edition for any record in any window the record is also added to the Recent Documents List

Verify also that wne enterering in form edition for a new record this record is only added to the Recent Documents list after is saved.

* Other areas affected.

It has been modified the behavior of when documents are added to the Recent Lists. So any other area of the application that opens records in form view ara also affected.
