I closed the Instance Purpose window with a cross and the next window (Heartbeat) did not appear.

I agree that closing the window with the "x" button should be the same as if you press the cancel button. But in general in 2.50 we do not manage the event when closing a window, and it has some specific difficulties.

In 3.0 pop-up windows will be replaced by SC modal application windows, and it will be easier to manage.

So please report it as a bug to be solved within the 3.0 code line, after the fork.
