Hi Richard,
I'm not sure why this bug is reported in this project. I see that issue 0014873 handles the problem for the module, so why is the issue in this project too? |

I was trying to report it against Platform.
The Eng Dev team have only fixed the Help description, not the display issue.
I am told that the display issue, ie, "the Format of "Location/Address" drop down in Financial Account is incorrect. It is greyed out when it is actually an editable field" relates to Platform and should be fixed by the platform team. |

Rob,
I've assigned this issue to you asking for feedback about the proper design for the Address/Location selector. The issue is very poorly reported, so let me clarify a bit with additional infomation:
-It is not about "Location/Address" drop-down list but selector
-In this selector you can not write within the text box (in other selectors you can), you can only click on the selector button to open the actual pop-up in which you edit the location. For example, when the location has already been entered then the text should be shown as not editable to make it clear to the user that she/he can not change the address directly in the text box but she/he needs to open the pop-up form to edit the info
We should not do any big change for 2.50 since we are about to freeze it. For 3.0 we might redesign this component to ensure it is more intuitive.

In OB3 Location field is not grey (but has proper coloring depending on if the field is mandatory or not) and clicking the field itself opens the Selector (no need to explicitly click Selector button). |
