The only way of stopping this happening is to support configuration of the system in such a way that the System Admin can:
a) ensure that invoice numbering is assigned sequentially automatically (i.e., removing any possibility to edit the number sequence manually)
b) ensure the invoice date is assigned by the OB system (i.e., remove all rights to edit the date / time)

Bypassing either of these rules would result in the risk of document numbers being out of sequence.
