This issue occurs randomly while executing the PI build.Today QA daily build for PI failed in Edit Organization while verifying the message"Process completed successfully".Raised the severity of the issue. |

I reproduced it both in Oracle and PostgreSQL with remote machines but could not reproduce it in local with Oracle.
In both cases, after performing the action, the page goes to grid mode and the record becomes read-only.

The expected behavior for this process is:
1- The user clicks the Open/Close all button
2- If everything goes well, the window becomes readonly and the "Process completed successfully" message is shown.
I've tested it in an old 2.50MP1 virtual appliance, and it's working fine (see attached file). The last (and unique) change done to the C_Period_Process function, which is the responsible of this process, was done on Oct 13 by Jayakumar, but I don't think this change is the responsible of this new behavior.
I have several questions:
1- When was the first time you realized about this behavior change?
2- Are other PL processes affected by this change? Arunkumar said that the "Set as ready" process is also suffering the same random behavior.
3- Do you know if someone has recently modified the code that manages database's messages?
My feeling is the bug is related to the code that manages db's messages and not in the PL processes.

* Project & Service Management || Transactions || Multiphase Project || Multiphase Project >> Project Phase when clicking Create sales order from Project Phase
* Project & Service Management || Transactions || Service Project when clicking on Create Sales Order from Project |

Answer for victor's question:
1- When was the first time you realized about this behavior change?
I realized this behavior change when I verify the daily automation builds running in our QA machine.Initially I have seen failure in Open/Close period control on 9/11/2009. For past three days it is failed in Edit Organization itself. This also break the smoke suite executions in hudson machine too.
2- Are other PL processes affected by this change? Arunkumar said that the "Set as ready" process is also suffering the same random behavior.
I have seen this failure in three processes.
** Financial Management || Accounting || Transactions || Open/Close Period Control
** General Setup || Enterprise || Organization
** Procurement Management || Transactions || Purchase Invoice || Header -> Create Lines From |
