Summary | 0010602: Incoming Shipment vs Goods Receipt |
Description | As far as I could find out, there is no difference between the two documents mentioned above apart from the ISLOGISTIC boolean flag. This one, however, does result in any different treatment in the subsequent logic.
It is therefore highly confusing to the user to understand the difference between the two document. |
Steps To Reproduce | 1) Go to Warehouse Management || Transactions || Incoming Shipment
2) Compare this window with Procurement Management || Transactions || Goods Receipt |
Proposed Solution | Two options
1) Remove the Incoming Shipment window from the application in case it really does not posses any additional logic for having it.
2) if this window has a purpose, document it better in the help for the end user to understand the purpose of this window and the difference to Goods Receipt |

Notes |
|
|
Besides, Incoming Shipment seems to miss the display logic implemented in Goods Receipt which shows, when Freight Cost Rule = Calculated:
* Shipping Company
* Number of Packages
* Freight Category
* Freight Currency
* Freight Amount
Gorka Ion, can you please comment on it?
Thanks. |

Yes there is a difference. The incoming shipment and outgoing shipment are not invoiced.
So if the documentation is not good enough the bug would be that the documentation should be improved for this topic |

This issue is rejected because the Income Shipment window is now and for Openbravo 3 deactivated.
We followed option 1 suggested in the issue. |
